“Abortion and birth control are the issues conservatives need to compromise on if they want to win elections.”
I will not.
It won’t be the RNC I will be standing in front of come Judgement Day.
“What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” Mark 8:36 NIV
And if conservatives compromise on the Leftist agenda in order to win elections, who has really won? Whose agenda will be implemented?
If the issue was sending all Conservatives to the gas chamber rather than abortion, would you say that Republicans should “compromise on the gas chamber” issue if they want to win elections?
My morals don’t follow my vote, my vote follows my morals.
Be well, my FRiend.
I believe we should never deceive ourselves, and we should never deceive others for personal gain, but that in war, we often must hide our true intentions, lest our enemies lie in wait to ambush us. And make no mistake, we are fighting a war over abortion, and losing.
But imagine this:
Several years from now, President Trump has nominated you to replace Justice Thomas, and you are preparing to face Senate confirmation. Let’s say he knows you believe abortion is murder - that’s why he’s nominations you - to keep SCOTUS as pro-life as possible after Justice Thomas’ departure.
In his conversations with you, let’s say President Trump expresses the hope that you will be smart enough not to reveal your true believe - that abortion is murder - but instead will find a diplomatic way of answering such questions, which will not get you quickly rejected by a largely pro-abortion Senate.
Do you not see the wisdom in such counsel? Do you not see that by measuring their words carefully, pro-life politicians and SC nominees have a far better Che FR of getting elected or appointed to positions where they can potentially save millions of unborn babies from abortion.
And despite the white lie of omission, I think such people will do just fine on judgment day.
