The powers that be who run our criminal government depend really strongly on the fact that the vast majority of folks in this country are basically non-violent and reasonably peaceable folks. Eventually though, some people are going to decide enough is enough and start shooting the bastards. I, for one, am not going to condemn them for doing so, though I hope their target choice is good. Pretty much any government employee of any kind won’t bother me one bit.
And that’s how it is, right up until it isn’t. Reminds me of George McFly. Biff thought he could abuse him forever, again and again. And then in that one magnificent scene, the fear in his face turns to pure hate, he doubled up his fist and coldcocked biff.
Bullies have a grand time, and they think everything is going their way, and they’re always completely shocked when that blow comes.
