I rarely listen to Pink Floyd, it’s been that way for years, mostly due to the overbearing pile of dung that is The Wall. When I do listen it is to early stuff, like “Arnold Layne”, “Interstellar Overdrive”, “See Emily Play”, and “Wish You Were Here”. I’m pretty sure it’s been a solid five years since I have.
My favorite Clapton number is “The Core” from, hmm, Slowhand? It’s on the same album as the execrable “Lay Down Sally”. I also enjoy “Let it Flow” and “Let it Rain”. Peter Frampton and, hmm, maybe the Doobies did a “COVID Shutdown” tribute to him with “Let it Rain”. I’ve never been sure if they were needling him because of his COVID skepticism, or were making a daring statement of support for him.
