unions designate just how much of the dues are political. I have known a couple unions who designated a ridiculously Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny amount as qualified for Non-Assessment.
Wouldn't it be great if union members could file some sort of class actions against those unions, demranding they disclose how they calculate and determine how much $$$ they allocate for political activities. They just screwed Pres Trump over some, to say the least dubious financial irregularities so turnabout's fair play
