I spent six months in Minneapolis a while back and I will never go back. Its a weird bunch of people there.
Just a few weeks ago IIRC it was Mpls (or a suburb) where a firefighter (medic?) was shot responding.
I grew up in the suburbs there and it obviously has changed a lot since the “Mary Tyler Moore” days. My mom would tell the story of riding the trolley 3 miles to get to violin lessons on Lake Street when she was 9 years old. Alone. About 15 years ago I went with her and my kids to the White Castle on Lake Street - mom hadn’t been there in years. “My - this neighborhood has sure changed.” (This was in the vicinity where the BLM/Floyd riots burned the area down).
