The verdict in former President Donald Trump’s business records trial in Manhattan was the “culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said in a statement on Thursday following the Manhattan jury finding him guilty on all 34 counts.
“Today’s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America—all in an effort to “get” Donald Trump,” DeSantis said in a statement.
“That this case—involving alleged misdemeanor business records violations from nearly a decade ago—was even brought is a testament to the political debasement of the justice system in places like New York City,” he said, slamming leftist district attorney Alvin Bragg.
“This is especially true considering this same district attorney routinely excuses criminal conduct in a way that has endangered law-abiding citizens in his jurisdiction,” the governor continued, noting that this case would have never been brought if the defendant was someone other than Trump.
“It is often said that no one is above the law, but it is also true that no one is below the law. If the defendant were not Donald Trump, this case would never have been brought, the judge would have never issued similar rulings, and the jury would have never returned a guilty verdict,” he said, adding, “In America, the rule of law should be applied in a dispassionate, even-handed manner, not become captive to the political agenda of some kangaroo court.”
Trump delivered a brief statement following the verdict, making it clear that the real verdict will be on Election Day.

You have not responded to my statement on standing down Disney. The Florida government, which he leads, took Disney’s special privileges (at his urging.) They set up their own board to frustrate DeSantis, sued, and tried to undermine his actions. Disney lost to him on every front.
The teacher’s union dug in tooth and nail to stop him from taking sexualized books out of school libraries. He fought them and they’re doing it the governor’s way, not the union’s.
He fired at least two lefty DAs. The others don’t want to take him on.
He’s achieved significant policy wins for conservatives in the Free State of Florida. He could handle Chuck, Nancy, and Hakeem easily. He’s handled every enemy he’s faced. He’s proven his mettle.
You’re arguing that the guy who has a high batting average in AAA obviously can’t hit in the majors. Because you say so. (That’s exactly how the liberals argue.)
Your claim that “DeSantis is trying to derail MAGA” is simply an assertion on your part and not true. The same with your false assertion that he’s somehow tied to the Bush wing. You have offered NO evidence to support either (Hint: It’s not there.)

I and others have been talking about it for 3 1/2 years, with plenty of links to testimony, statistical anomalies, etc. If that hasn’t convinced you yet then you’ve either deliberately chosen not to look at it or are beyond the reach of rational argument. Just remember. When, - not if but WHEN - the stolen election is proven to the public in a court of law, beyond a reasonable doubt, you and the rest of DeSantis’s sycophants will have to explain why you missed it and why DeSantis was either too dim to see it or deliberately lied to you.
You’ve been talking about theories. Where’s teh evidence? When even friendly journalists like Tucker Carlson asked for it, they never got it.

It will be interesting to see what comes forth if Trump is
elected for a 2nd term. This world is changing rapidly and
I wouldn’t be surprised at what changes could happen world
wide in the next presidential cycle.
This election will be like none we’ve ever experienced. It already is and we’re still 5 months away from election day. The Biden regime will not give up power willingly which means they will cross any line to prevent Trump from taking office. If Trump wins, which at this point seems inevitable, they will have to brazenly cheat or find some excuse to prevent his inauguration from taking place.
With so many Constitutional norms being openly violated, the situation will demand that Trump take extra-ordinary measures to fix things if he’s able to overcome the regimes best efforts and make it to the White House.
