Jill, even if he were a genius (which he has clearly never been), your husband has no ethics and no integrity - which is clearly why you two have linked up so well. Your ex-husband has my sympathy for what you put him through, and my congratulations that he is now beyond you.
Those two linked up so well because neither of them have any integrity and have the morals of a snake.
