One juror who sat for six weeks listening to the evidence presented in a Manhattan courtroom against former President Donald Trump reportedly appears sympathetic towards him.
The jury on Wednesday will begin to consider whether or not Trump, beyond a reasonable doubt, committed a crime of falsifying records to conceal a second crime. Many legal experts believe there is no good case against Trump.
Some legal experts, such as constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley, expect the jury will either render a guilty verdict or produce a hung jury that results in a mistrial.

Will be a very bad look for Joe Biden.
Under principles of criminal law, a judge can set aside a guilty verdict as not being supported by the evidence but he cannot set aside a not guilty verdict even if he thinks the evidence established guilt
Same. My husband & I are really impressed with Florida, his support from a majority of hispanics & how solidly conservative he is on the issues. He ran a bad primary campaign though. We were kind of shocked by how lackluster it was. Part of me thinks that might be because it was almost a certainty President Trump would win the nomination. After he dropped out, he was giving a speech on an issue- I think campus protests- & he was amazing in that! He’s got great oratorical skills!
In a way, I think it might make sense for President Trump to be our nominee at this point in time. The skills he brings to the table are mostly that he’s willing to fight & never backs down. I’ll definitely be voting for him! I think that frees up future elections to generations under 80. My husband & I are in our 30s/40s. It’d be nice to see more politicians our age 🤣 I’m hopeful DeSantis may be our candidate in 2028 😉
If it is the lawyer we keep hearing about I hope he is prepared to be disbarred. The democrats will destroy ANYONE who doesn’t vote guilty.
That’s not how it supposed to work, but nothing about this case has been normal.
Possibly, but they could also make a fortune on the interview circuit and a book deal.
The value of the story from the Leftists who vote guilty is devalued because they're all spewing the same diarrhea the Propaganda Media already is.
Bartleby must be a Jesus figure.
His ways, inscrutable, even by those who wish him well.
You have to admire how he sticks to his guns, even when all manner of negative consequences ensue.
I think Merchan will do his best to prevent a hung jury. He will tell them to keep deliberating until they are unanimous (for guilty, of course).
No, I agree if it is a hung jury, we will know who the “hanger” is. What I said was if there is a juror who would hang the jury, but is pressured to find for guilt, then we probably won’t know who that was and we won’t know what threat they had to endure, to get them to change their vote.
It would take a truly phenomenally amount of self-confidence and courage (as well as love of America and of Liberty) to be the one who upset the Democrat/Communist Party’s carefully crafted plan — as publicly pronounced by the mulatto-marxist-muslim himself in 2008 — to “fundamentally transform the United States of America” .... It would take one helluva lot of courage!
Nope, never happen in the Leftist media. Nobody would give them a book deal, nobody would promote the book, and you'd find it facing backwards in the Barnes and Noble display.
Found this commentary:
“Donald M. Fiene’s 1970 essay “Bartleby the Christ” suggests that Bartleby is a Christ figure because his death results from the lawyer’s failure to extend Christian charity to him.”
Bartleby was a lot more passive than Christ. He was silent before Herod because he had contempt for Herod. But he bore the Cross.
So, I don’t see the connection. I don’t get the story. It’s better than Moby Dick, so there is that.
Donald M. Fiene, Bartleby the Christ, 7 AM. TRANSCENDENTAL Q. 18 (1970) (arguing the religious parables in the story).
This post is 10,000% correct.
Yes, all analogies do limp!
Somebody’s opinion. I added the topic “Editorial.”
Great story that illustrates how you really can know until the jury reads the verdict. Thanks.
There are 3 choices for jury to convict or not. conviction on any one of them is a conviction on all, according to the Colombian born judge.
