You are dense. We live in a country that has been deindustrialized out of spite by our garbage ruling class and you try to make that claim? Go to Walmart and look at the manufacturing label and see that 95% of their products are from outside the United States. A country that cannot support manufacturing at a huge scale is not a superpower, it is a retarded trust fund baby siting on a pile of IOU's.
Even in its heyday in the 1950s, manufacturing was less than 30% of the total U.S. economy and a bit over 30% of employment. Over the next half-century, its share declined considerably. Still, the level of output continued to grow and the U.S. remains the world’s third-largest manufacturing entity (behind only China and the European Union).
