Polish official claims the US told Russia it would strike Russian targets in Ukraine if Putin used nuclear weapons

Poland's foreign minister said the US had told Russia that it would strike Russian targets in Ukraine if Putin were to use nuclear weapons.

In an interview with the Guardian, Radosław Sikorski seemed doubtful of Russia's threats about using nuclear weapons, saying: "The Americans have told the Russians that if you explode a nuke, even if it doesn't kill anybody, we will hit all your targets [positions] in Ukraine with conventional weapons, we'll destroy all of them."

"I think that's a credible threat," he said. "Also, the Chinese and the Indians have read Russia the riot act. And it's no child's play because if that taboo were also to be breached, like the taboo of not changing borders by force, China knows that Japan and Korea would go nuclear, and presumably they don't want that."

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev hit back at Sikorski's comments in a post on X, formerly Twitter, saying that US strikes on Russian targets would result in a "world war."

Radosław Sikorski is a neocon POS.

He's the dogsqueeze who congratulated the US on blowing up the "Nordstrom" pipeline on Twitter.

The Neocons will learn the hard way what the term “yield” means regarding nuclear weapons if they keep trying to be so ‘cute’ with Russia. Unfortunately, the rest of us in the West won’t get the see their faces as they finally get a bit of ‘schooling’ from Russia.

Sikorski is married to another lying piece of cr@p - “jernalist” Anne Applebaum.

Much rides on Ukraine, any which way it goes, US hegemony is now kaput. Brics Summit- another nail in US’s coffin, thanks Joe!

One look around the US shows severe decline- the China, Russian, Indian alliance just by shear numbers (65 percent plus world’s population) trumps US failing hegemony and forever wars…the world has had enough.

I cannot imagine taking the world to nuclear war just because one is pissed at something done by another country, nearly 100 years ago, much less being given the power to do such - yet here we are, complete with Operatives virtually DEMANDING World War 3.

There probably is some threshold scenario, at which point, NATO would determine that it must occupy the western-most oblasts of Ukraine - in order to protect the NATO countries.

Also, Russian attacks on NATO countries will probably be met with NATO attacks on Russian positions within Ukraine - that are west of Ukraine oblasts: Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia.

Probably. Maybe.

Even the weakest of minds knows that if Russia used tactical nukes in Ukraine, it would be very, very quiet in the aftermath.

And would remain so.

Every other nuclear power on the planet would call the Kremlin to assure them that their weapons would remain holstered.

How do I know he’s lying?

Because I know US military SIOPs and doctrine.

And that is to avoid direct combat with Russia in all cases except a direct attack on NATO.

We would blow up all their targets in Ukraine now but we don't have an army there to do it. If they drop a nuke, an army will magically appear.

Why do you say it is a lie? We have borrowed $200 billion to fund this 10 year old proxy war. Blinken, Nuland, Sullivan, Powers, et. al., got us into this mess in 2014. They have lied to us continuously on Ukraine winning the war. They have stated explicitly that US objectives in the war are regime change in Russia and a weakening of their military.

We are told that Russia must be defeated otherwise they will invade Poland and then the rest of Europe. It is obvious that Ukraine is losing and the situation is deteriorating rapidly. It is entirely plausible the US under Biden made this hollow threat to “scare” the Russians. Politically, it would be a disaster for Biden if Ukraine implodes before the election. Talking tough is the Biden/Blnken MO. DON’T is not a strategy.

Desperation leads to escalation and increases exponentially the probability of a direct confrontation between NATO and Russia. It is a dangerous game of chicken where everyone loses. Stop this madness.

The Pentagon would not be party to such madness...as bad as they are and have become.

Who blew up the NordStream pipeline? Do you doubt that we already have boots on the ground helping to operate and maintain the weapons systems we have provided? Or that we are providing real time intelligence on target acquisition? The bright lines on direct combat with the Russians are being blurred. Reminds me of how we got involved in Vietnam. All we need is a “Gulf of Tonkin-type” false flag operation.

Sorry, but I have no confidence in Austin and Brown.

Brown told reporters on Thursday that a decision to deploy trainers was inching closer. “We’ll get there eventually, over time,” he told reporters, according to the New York Times. Manpower has long been an issue for Kyiv’s military as it fights a much larger and better-equipped foe.

Russia issues nuclear threats on a daily basis. I see no harm in letting them know there are consequences if they use nukes in Europe.

The harm would be if we let them.
