The Libertarian party has become another version of Liberal/Democrat. I consider myself a conservative with small “l” libertarian leanings-and none of them look anything like the platform the Libertarian party is pushing. Ron Paul and other real libertarians should sue to make them change the name of that party to democratic libertarian party of something like it...
Funny story:
When the LP first emerged, the Liberal Party had ballot status in New York, and New York had a law banning party names that were too similar to those of existing parties.
A judge ruled that “Libertarian” sounded too much like “Liberal” and might confuse voters, so for a number of years, they filed in New York as the “Free Libertarian Party.”
Why is it that media members, on both sides of the aisle, mention RFK Jr., Stein, West, and now Oliver, but never add in Randall Terry (the Constitution party nominee) or Tom Hoefling (of America’s Party)?
