Hitler made several critical strategic mistakes, one of which was violating, breaking the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact (peace and cooperation with the Soviet Union).

Nazis and Communists were, are very close brothers in crime.
It is much like two criminal gangs fighting over turf in Chicago. the two gangs are not only similar but they may even share family ties.

Well if war with Russia was inevitable, then every day Hitler waited, the Soviet Union was only going to get stronger.

This is why WWI blew up. The German generals saw that Russia in 1914 was modernizing to the point that within a few years, Germany would not be able to defeat Russia, so it was "Now or Never!"
