Hard to do complex stuff on the short timeline of a special session. So I love your concept it's not realistic. Most likely result would be Dems get the reforms overturned on a normally caught technicality, once it's too late to remove Joe from the ballot.

If dark money reforms were ready to go before, but voted down by Dems, the strongest ready version is probably the best you can do. Although just voting no to all, Joe included, is doable with a special session. Calling Governors don't always get what they want. Just get your spin solid if you choose 'no'. After all doesn't everyone know the President's nice short name, a write in campaign should be straightforward.

Then don't talk about it, but take a page out of Washington GOP and find some volunteers to register as write in candidates. Need at least a Brandon, and someone with FJB initials, to capture the Biden hating but still No Trump voters, like their governor.
