To: Tell It Right

I listen to VDH’s podcasts most days of the week. I love his farm stories, brilliant take on current affairs, his classical history knowledge, and (especially) how he can point to lessons in ancient history and translate them to today.

He was generally very upbeat ten years ago, but I’ve watched him steadily become very pessimistic about our state of affairs. Today, he doesn’t seem to hold much hope for the continuation of the American Experiment.

Hanson has the perspective of a historian who knows his subject matter. He can recognize signs of societal collapse when sees them.
