I drove through northwest Louisiana last week - lots of Trump signs and even interstate-facing billboards. Not official campaign efforts, but local grassroots support stuff. Plus, I've heard that Johnson's district is going to have a chunk carved out of by the state, taking the city of Shreveport (or a significant portion thereof) into a new majority-black district. Mike's district isn't going away, though - it's just going to get redder.
I think he's going to get mauled by his voting constituents, next time he's up for reelection.

“You think you could stand your ground with the leftist Congress critters, the permanent DC employees and the press all slavering to ruin your name and career any way they can, including your Internet history, your family tree and your high school yearbook?”
I am not proud of everything I have done in life, but there is nothing in my past that the knowledge of would cause me to compromise my principles. So, yes, I believe I could.

Including $5B for "refugee relocation." When they move the Palestinians here they will promise no more Jew and America hatred. Maybe Johnson didn't notice, but that wouldn't be good either.
I used to defend Johnson. He changed my mind. Odds are not good on the next Speaker being better though.

I do some work in Johnson’s district from time to time, and the people I’ve met there seem to still support him pretty strongly. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
