Something that utterly disgusts me. Russia and Germany started WW2 and when they turned on each other we should have let them slug it out.
Well, the risk there would have been ALL Europe being Communist. England was not able to do everything on her own. Once Hitler declared war on the U.S., we had no choice but to respond in kind.
We COULD have followed Patton's suggestion and fought the Commies when when we were still strong and they were quite weak after the war, but the national appetite wasn't there, nor was the political will.
Pat Buchanan echoes your point, and we will never know how that would have turned out.
My original point was that countries sometimes have evil dictators/countries as allies in times of war.

Russia’s buddies are Hamas, Communist China, Communist North Korea, Iran, who is Russia’s enemy?
