“…which used radar data from space to perform an X-ray of the crucial glacier”

I’m not daft, but this sounds like the writer is completely retarded.

I predict there will be numerous terrorist attacks in the US before Obama’s waterfront mansions are flooded.

I went to the Dr, he ordered X rays from space using radar to diagnose my problem.

If Thwaites Glacier was to collapse entirely, global sea levels would increase by 65 cm (25 in) (Source: Bedmachine, https://www.nature.com/articles/s41561-019-0510-8#Sec7, gives total volume 483,000 km3; volume above flotation 258,000 km3, and sea level equivalent, 65 cm.)

Ocean water is pushing miles beneath Antarctica’s “Doomsday Glacier,” making it more vulnerable to melting

That statement alone makes this article BS.

There is no ocean water under the "doomsday Glacier" because it is land based. The only ice being affected is the ice shelf floating in the ocean at the edge of the glacier.

World oceans are 140MM sq mi. That’s about four million billion (3,900,000,000,000,000) sq ft.

The Thwaites glaciar is 70M sq mi, or about 0.05% the size. 2000x smaller. So if you want the oceans to rise 10 feet, you need to melt 20000 feet of glaciar.

Random site gives: sea level equiv in mm = Gt of ice / 361.8

The total volume of Thwaites is enough to raise sea levels by just over four feet.
But wait, half the glaciar is already under sea level, so now it’s barely two feet.
But wait, as sea levels rise, ocean surface area increases. This won’t change much, but it will reduce the total increase a bit.
Of course, if Thwaites melted, likely the rest of the Antarctic would be as well, so the numbers be much higher. Although as sea levels rise, more original ice is now underwater, so your msl rise is slowed down also.

The female propagandist of this tripe has a major in history. She writes climate crappola for the New World Order, not because it’s the truth, but because it pays well to lie for them.
