Martin Armstrong is not a military expert or analyst nor is he conversant with the facts on the ground. The Russian offensive intended to take Kharkiv has suffered severe casualties to little effect.

Russia is again threatening the use of tactical nuclear weapons -- a sure sign that things are not going well for them. So also is the sacking of the Defense Minister in favor of an economist a sign of dissatisfaction. Putin seems to recognize that the cost of the Ukraine war is not politically or economically sustainable for his regime in the long run.

Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to pummel Crimea and impose casualties on the Russian forces and supplies and logistic structures there. And Ukrainian air defenses continue to hold and improve.

As it happens, fundamental Russian weaknesses in truck-born logistics make it hard for them to mass troops and equipment and sustain them in the field away from railheads. This limits Russia's ability to sustain offensives deep into enemy territory. Unlike in WW II, Russia today does not have the benefit of an endless supply of American made trucks via the Lend Lease program.

We seem to be in an era in which new military technology in the form of masses of cheap, effective drones is shifting the balance to the defense. With Ukraine getting new cash and military supplies and equipment from the US and NATO, they are unlikely to collapse.

Drones are cute and effective, except what happens when the factories are laid to waste? Technology makes war more acceptable, but what wins and loses wars is the fact of who can kill enough of an enemy to force them to BEG to PLEAD for peace. America? C’mon Man, we will fold like a K mart lounge chair. We cannot even fight successfully against the DEI, antifa, and a bunch of trannies and fags.
