Met him about 20 years ago along with Robin Olds and Chuck Yeager.

Bud and Robin, good guys. Chuck was an arrogant jerk. Not to me but to some friends who really idolized him.

I filled in as a grocery checker in 1993 in Grass Valley when there was a wildcat strike.

I met Yeager when he came thru the check stand a couple of times in those 3-4 days.

He seemed VERY pleasant & because I was NOT the usual checker thanks me for filling in.

Another friend of mine in Grass Valley did Graphic Art.
Yeager asked him to design some items for an event he was planning. Friend said he was MORE than pleasant & easy to please.

Interesting that so many flying aces ended up near Auburn.
