Much worse than ivy. Kudzu can grow up to a foot a day in the warm, wet South. Note the roots.

I will have to spray this year, multiple times, to kill any growth from the roots the mulcher didn't tear up.

I should say, the only kudzu I had was among these trees that were mulched. I plan to eradicate with the mulching (done in April so it didn't seed yet) plus the spraying. It just appeared three years or so ago.

Looks like there is a market for goat herd rentals down there.

They would convert that to fertilizer over a weekend.
