Democrats are obsessed with image building. You can go as far back as Harry Truman playing a piano with the actress Lauren Bacall on top of that piano or Bill Clinton playing the saxophone on the Arsenio Hall show. The Democrats have had long standing ties with the entertainment industry and they seem to have an irrational desire to show their “hipness” if you will. Perhaps Blinken is trying to show he is one of the “cool kids”. But war is a serious business and his display of his guitar skills looks stupid.
