If God answers our prayers, and Trump wins, first the tantrums will be absolutely deafening, followed by a doubling and tripling of lies to get him out of office and even a real insurrection by democrats. LORD preserve us, either way.
I agree. We don’t have a lot of room to maneuver in the next ten years. One single slip-up, and we could be finished. If Trump is not elected, that might be it.
Even if Trump is elected, the odds are stacked against a return to normalcy in this country, IMO. He may not be able to turn the tide...it may be impossible at this point.
Of course, we have jackwads right here on FR who are so anti-Trump that if the Democrats cheat their way back into office (which they are certainly going to try to do, and nobody seems inclined to even be a speed bump to prevent electoral malfeasance) those same jackwads will scream “We told you! We told you he couldn’t get elected!”
Pathetic.
And, if he DOES get elected, they want to see him fail just to say “We told you! We tried to tell you!”
I think it is an absolutely despicable point of view, but hey, they are ginning themselves up to feel superior in either case, because that is apparently what is important to them, not the survival of this Republic.
