My daughter is in software development and was let go from her job in December. She started her new job last week. It’s tough everywhere these days.
I’m glad she got something.
To her advantage, is she’s a she.
I suspect that part of my son’s problem with getting a new job is diversity hires. In the layoff, it was noticed by he and some of his friends that some people who should have been let go weren’t, and some really good people were, and the reasons were deuced based on looking at them. So competency and job productivity were not the criteria.
My daughter, who is also in tech, saw that in her old job with a different company.
