When President Joe Biden made clear that he was going to run for reelection, I had a sense of what his election strategy was and thought it was an intelligent path to victory.

What is an intelligent path to victory for a senile presidential candidate?

After the chaos of Covid-19 and the administration of former President Donald Trump, Biden would stand for normalcy and a rising tide of good economic news.

The tide is certainly rising, but it is not economic good news. It is a rising tide of icky brown matter. It keeps getting deeper and deeper.

Trump would divide Republicans, with significant chunks of the party wishing that someone like former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley or Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis would be their nominee.

In opposing Trump, each saw their popularity approach vanishing point.

Meanwhile, Trump would unite and motivate Democrats, allowing Biden to focus on independent voters in the swing states that threw the Electoral College to Trump in 2016 and to Biden in 2020.

Even Democrats are motivated to buck Fiden. Biden is too senile to focus on anything. Not even Dems can believe he is actually running the government. Every visit to the grocery store reinforces the belief that whoever is in charge is a screw up.

I think it is best to be honest about reality. ... The economy has been in a robust recovery for more than two years now....

Well, make up your mind, reality or more fairy tales.

But whatever the reasons, this is a stunning reversal in the midst of a relentless stream of good economic news.

Right, a relentless stream of more fairy tales. The good economic news is that a Mickey D combo meal can still be found for less than $20. The poor family of four can pig out on a burger and fries for less than $80. Yes, the good economic news is relentless.

And I do wonder whether abortion will be as large an issue in a presidential race, given that reversing Roe v. Wade threw the issue to state governments and not the federal government.

Roe was not reversed, it was overturned. Jurisdiction was returned to the states. Keep wondering if federal government created poverty will be a bigger issue than a party stance on the state issue of abortion, an issue over which the federal government has no jurisdiction. Let's see. Will the people care more about whether Jane Roe can get an abortion in her home state, or whether they can afford to buy groceries? Or afford a mortgage for a house.

The one that troubles me most concerns the question of who is more competent. Biden led Trump by nine points in 2020, but Trump now leads by 16 points in 2024. That 25-point shift could be a reflection of people’s sense that the president’s age is affecting his capacity to govern. If so, there is very little that Biden can do to change that perception.

Biden is senile, Trump is not. Every time Biden speaks, it is a comedy show. Indeed, there is very little Biden can do to change that perception. It's on video and goes to Youtube and X. The people "sense" Biden is senile because he is senile.

What can be done is after Biden is nominated, he can step aside. There will be no time for primaries and the party PTB may choose the ticket. They would choose to not include Kamala Harris. Sounds like a plan.

A post-convention switcheroo is exactly what will happen. The Deep State DNC cannot run Biden as a proxy again. Then a short campaign as the Lamestream cheers on the parachuted-in replacement.

Big Mike? Gavin? Gretchen? Who knows. But it will not, cannot be Jomentia.
