One of the reasons the much maligned Speaker Johnson pushed through the Ukraine aid package was because Ukraine is in the process of collapse.

If the Ukraine collapsed while Republicans withheld funding it would be an epic geo political disaster that the Republicans would be tarred and feathered with for a generation

The Democrats , who actually are the ones responsible for the destroyed Ukraine would get to blame Republicans for the loss and Americas moronic majority would eat up the Republicans Lost Ukraine meme.

There is a very reasonable chance that regardless of American support, the Ukraine will lose the war by the time the election rolls around so the aid package will never be fully implemented

The best option is to engage the Russians in immediate ceasefire talks but thecterms would be so much worse than the terms Biden pressured Ukraine to reject two years ago that Biden's election chances would be dead in the water.

As a result more of Ukraine's power and industrial infrastructure will have to be destroyed and another couple hundred thousand dead and wounded Ukrainians and Russians will have to happen to maximize President Poopy Pants chances for re election

Republicans will get blamed by the media anyway, and it will stick.

The Dems are already blaming the Reps for Ukraine losing the war. They cite the delay in providing funds.

Collapse, of course. Much more important than territory is economy, infrastructure, and manpower. Ukraine has been decimated in all these sectors.
The Western narrative can no longer hide this fact.

I fully expect the dreaded “ Waterfall” event…..everything is broadcast by the West as just fine, they just need more $$$$$$$,….all the money in the world cannot replace their depleted manpower, destroyed electrical grid ( Russia built it), Ag revenues, depleted arms and ammo, depleted population, and destroyed currency….

RIP Ukraine, you hitched your wagon to the most corrupted US administration in history…..

You are right about Johnson. Nobody wants to be the fall guy for “who lost Ukraine” as the campaign accelerates this summer. I still think he’s basically a sellout though.

A ceasefire is not on the table.
