I think the Democrat’s tactical error was they threw so much in the way of monkey feces at Trump that the overall effect was desperation, panic and, ultimately, humor. What they should have done was muzzle the lower level, more ridiculous efforts and focused everything on just the most promising attack, whatever that was. As it is, every ludicrous wannabe Democrat player, like Fani Willis, just had to take a shot at Trump. The message from people like her is, “Look at how important I am, I be takin’ down da’ former president! lookatmelookatmelookatme! Oh, don’t look so hard you see da’ corruption.” We The People see who are trying to take down Trump and we see a regular set of circus freaks. If they actually had something they could use, it would be lost in the chaff. (I don’t think there is anything to find. But there was nothing for the first impeachment either, however they managed it anyway.)
Just so. Liberals are so used to receiving tongue baths from all the organs of society that it’s made even those who might be at least somewhat smart intellectually lazy. Just by chance (/s) all these cases were brought so as to be tried in the election year, ignoring completely that delays, sometimes very long delays, are commonplace in both civil and criminal cases. Then Willis brings her case, knowing that it lacks merit and forgetting that those who throw stones best make sure their own house is in order are ill advised. Then there’s Bragg, who refused to bring this case because he knew it was a dog, then brought it anyway under pressure. He had to have known that this would be a s-show, yet failed to take into account that its patent ridiculousness could backfire in Trump’s favor.
