May 10 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to submit a highly critical report to Congress as soon as Friday on Israel's conduct in Gaza that stops short of concluding it has violated the terms for its use of U.S. weapons, Axios said on Thursday. The report, citing three officials, added that the State Department was reviewing the use of weapons by Israel and six other countries engaged in different armed conflicts.
On Tuesday, Reuters reported that the Biden administration was set to miss a Wednesday deadline to report to Congress on whether Israel is violating international humanitarian law in Gaza. A national security memorandum, NSM-20, issued by President Joe Biden in February, required the department to report to Congress by May 8 how credible are Israel's assurances that its use of U.S. weapons does not violate U.S. or international law.

Which is why such reports are dishonest. They're politically motivated. The "findings" are determined by political considerations, and then rationales are provided to justify the "findings."

Oh NOW Blinken cooks up a report to address Israel’s “use” of weapons they BOUGHT from the US. Sure, maybe they spent US 3 billion a year subsidy on them.. on weapons. The STILL purchased the weapons we aren’t delivering, and now trying to say HOW they use them is part of the sale? NUTS.
This is like worldwide gun control (trigger locks, licensing mandates, who can and cannot have arms).. writ on sovereign nations. Think anybody like the UN could try this on say... Russian arms sent to Afghanistan? State Dept hacks have NO say on this— period. We have (DOD) denied spare parts for weapons systems as a leverage. Now even the sale?

No. Apparently only seven of the 103 countries we export to are being “examined”. We’ve approved transfers to Qatar and Lebanon yesterday. And of course the report will say Israel isn’t violating international or US law. The delays are political, an attempt to control Israel’s defense strategy in hopes of gaining more pro Hamas votes than they’ll lose pro-Israel votes in several states.
