Not good to honor either slavers or black radical favorites like Trayvon Martin. There are plenty of patriotic, freedom- loving-for-all Americans whose names could have been used.
This is less about honoring confederates and more about pushing back against the radical DEI/BLM wokeness that has been shoved down our throats 24/7 since the Summer of Fentanyl Floyd.
