MILTON, Fla. - A Florida father was arrested over the weekend after pulling an AR-15 rifle on an Uber driver who dropped his daughter off at his home, according to deputies.
Sean Hollonbeck, 54, of Milton, was taken to jail on charges of false imprisonment of a person and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
On May 4, shortly before 11 p.m., an Uber driver arrived at Hollonbeck's home to drop off the suspect's daughter.
The young female was still in the vehicle when she saw her father run up to the driver with an AR-15 in hand and force him to the ground, according to an arrest report.
Deputies said Hollonbeck pointed the gun in the driver's face and screamed at him to get out of the car, as his daughter went inside the home.
The report stated the daughter had friends over at the home who also witnessed the incident.
Hollonbeck forced the driver to show his driver's license before taking pictures of it and letting him go, deputies said.
According to the report, Hollonbeck admitted to his actions and said he was "afraid of his daughter's safety."
He was booked into the Santa Rosa County jail and later released after posting bond, jail records show. Fullscreen button

Somebody just lost his AR.
There’s gotta be a backstory here.
What a deranged idiot.
Yeah. The backstory is he’s nuts and shouldn’t own a weapon.
Nuts....Look at the eyes
And with good reason. He just demonstrated that he doesn’t have the mental or emotional stability to be carrying around a firearm. And after this felony he won’t be allowed to own a gun anyway.
No mention of daughter’s age. Betcha there’s been big issues with her friends or BF.
The backstory is a sad tale.
Readers are extremely confident that all the key facts are in the story. They have no hesitation in assuming the conclusion the writer wants the reader to make is the correct one. They can’t even conceive they could be wrong in their assumption, that any important facts could be missing.
This is life in our modern world.
English as a second language journalist. This is one the most poorly written piece I have attempted to read in a while.
What backstory could there be that would justify this nutjob yanking the uber driver out of his car and pointing a weapon to his face?
The dude is a little high strung. Maybe drug or alcohol related. Nothing wrong with checking out the man who was driving around his underage daughter - but start with something less aggressive than a pointing a firearm. Maybe start with “Hi. Who are you?”
There is, always, more to the story.
He was outraged that the guy didn’t bring a pizza.
How about a rebellious daughter that is involved with bad men who is suddenly late to meet her friends at her house because one of her guys detained her?
He doesn’t believe he overreacted Saturday night, just before 11 p.m., when he saw a strange car — with a strange man driving — drop his daughter off.
She’d snuck out of the house, took an Uber to Pensacola and was returning home.
Hollonbeck says he called both the Santa Rosa County and Escambia County sheriff’s offices when his daughter was gone, asking for guidance after she snuck out.
He says the lack of help led to him making a split-decision to pull the Uber driver from the car at gunpoint until the driver identified himself.
Readers read the facts, which read for themselves.
The guy driving was also someone’s son.. and a licensed UBER driver.
We don’t get to point an AR15 in the face of some working stiff doing his job, because we’re too stupid for words.
🥳 Shoe-Foot exchange:
Without proof this WAS the Father, and “Baby” was safe, should the driver pull out his AR 15 and stick it in Daddy’s face??
According to that article he still doesn’t think he overreacted and what he did was proper. Then he goes on to say how he’s a retired veteran who’s involved with a charity so leave him alone because he’s a model citizen and so should be given special consideration. I wonder why he has a 13 y/o daughter who sneaks out of the house. Something tells me this “model citizen” might not be such a model father.
