I’m kind of mixed on this as eventually the Democrats win EVERY fight of this type, so trying to hold out is just another lost cause for our side. But more so is the way that his case is getting destroyed in court, which is FAR BETTER for Trump, as it will be far harder for the Dems to simply claim that the Republicans are protecting him, as the judge is simply taking everything apart and letting the country (at least those who pay attention) learn just how corrupt our government has gotten.

He only needs to ask to expand and it’s done. He can bring more / other charges in any venue in America, certainly in DC. He can pivot to anything with the signature of the AG.
