...and it won’t become law, of course, but at least it’ll get the Dems on record (assuming anybody can find out that it happened, since the media won’t report on it).
Why are Republicans wasting time scoring political points, if even that with legislation that won’t pass. Too much all talk from them, posturing, and no action.
RE: ...and it won’t become law, of course
No It won’t. Senate is controlled by Democrats and Biden still has the veto pen.
Any of those foreign, freeloading thieves caught voting in my country should have their thieving asses loaded into a catapult and fired back across the Rio Grande into Mehico where they belong. Scumbags. “Today we march, tomorrow we vote, MY ASS!”

New laws are useless.
The Republican Congressmen need to learn how to fight dirty without trying to pass laws to constrain the utterly corrupt and lawless Democrats.
This is nothing more than silly-assed posturing designed to give credibility to a worthless Republican Congress.
RINOs will vote for it to prove how serious they are about border and election security without any risk of it actually becoming law.
Ask the Uniparty types who are in favor of/stay mum about the upcoming WHO treaty-not-a-treaty which the Biden regime has had a part and influence in crafting.
US Law bars immigration without proof of self-support, or sponsors that guarantee it. There should be criminal penalties added for officials who knowingly approve benefits for such ineligibles.

RE: If you’re not a US citizen, why should you have any input on how the country is governed?
Well, the question is why is such a federal law necessary? I have one word for it — PRE-EMPTION.
There are some cities in the United States that allow non-citizens to vote in local elections. This is typically limited to school board elections and other local matters. However, non-citizens are not allowed to vote in federal or state elections.
Some cities where non-citizens are allowed to vote in local elections include San Francisco, Chicago, New York City ( my neck of the woods) , and Takoma Park, Maryland. There may be other cities with similar policies, but the list is not exhaustive.
But who’s to say that it would not MORPH eventually to the city, state and eventually, Federal level?
We laugh at many things as highly unlikely in the past and look at what we have today.
te in federal or state elections.
I don’t know. We keep hearing them posture and nothing happens. I still can’t forget Obamacare, they did this for years, then when they got to actually taking action, they refused. Same with so many things.
It is difficult to imagine Leftists high-fiving each other and exclaiming “This is so easy! Why didn’t we do this forty years ago?”
Almost two years too late but better than nothing but the chances of it passing Schumer the Tumor’s controlled Senate is zilch and even if it did Joe wold veto it and there’s probably not enough support to override his veto.
Because 40 years ago many WW2, Korea, and Vietnam vets were still around and would have dusted off the skills they learned elsewhere around the globe.
Plenty of laws against it. Enforcement is the friggen problem.
Well, right now, and for the past few years, they’ve had no authority to do anything executive-wise.
As for Obamacare, recall they actually did put forth legislation while it could have passed, and McCain used subterfuge to kill it.
