If a deal was indeed cut, Hakeem now possesses all the leverage.

Should have kept McCarthy

Absolutely not.

At least, now we know that the Deep State runs the show. They will either bribe or blackmail RINOs in Congress to get their way.

Mike Johnson is a symptom.

Anyone get the feeling she’s still doing McCarthy’s bidding?

“Blame INEFFECTIVE leadership. The GOP can’t negotiate its way out of a wet paper bag. So, who cares? Johnson did a piss poor job.”

I think Johnson is neither overrated nor underrated, given all the givens in the House GOP - tiny 5 seat majority and too many indians wanting to be chiefs.

We already knew that. Now we’ve given probably handed Hakeem what little leverage we still had with this useless exercise.

She laid out a case and I cant disagree. How many bills that pass with majority Democrat support and without the support of Republicans should be accepted before youbsay, ok, let the Democrats own this?

My side is Pres Trump’s side. Which side are you on?

I heard Trump praise BOTH MTG and Johnson the other day.

If he is willing to do that to hold power then MTG is right to get him out. The fact that you think that is a possibility at all should tell you something.

>>”Trump NEEDS a Republican majority in the House in ‘25.
Johnson’s actions have jeopardized that.”

That may be true, but there’s a more immediate concern that needs to be considered - handing over the speakership to Jeffries. If that were to occur, you can count on the House doing whatever they can over the next 8 months to either prevent Trump from winning the election or prevent him from being sworn in.

Grow up? The Republican house gave 60 billion to Ukraine before they were willing to give 3 billion to its own Presidents border wall. I’d say this is long overdue. Johnsons majority doesn’t existed without AOC’s backing.

Johnson is the one responsible for ignoring the Hastert rule. He has already served notice that he doesn't care what the majority of the party caucus thinks.

Pres Trump obviously wants peace in the House prior to the election.

I’m not sure why fo9lks think that they are better informed than the leader of the party but they’re not.

You don’t need to get work done. You need to slow the house down to a halt. The job is gridlock, not moving heaven and Earth to pass the Biden agenda and then pretend that all the ills of the country are Bidens fault.
