I've visited many,many sketchy places in my day...mostly while I was young and foolish. East Africa..southern Africa...East Asia (including China)...Southeast Asia...Brazil...and a few other places.

But the only Spanish speaking place I've ever visited is Puerto Rico...and the same will be true when I take my last breath.

Forbes did an exhaustive study on the number of Americans killed in Mexico. The murder rate was 0.5 per 100,000. Of those killed, almost all were involved in buying or selling drugs. Between 40 to 50 million prople visit Mexico each year. Pre COVID it was at the higher end.

Just got back from a trip of a lifetime at Moon Palace in Cancun. It was wonderful. The people were great and we had some amazing food. This is very close to the airport with no trouble at all. I would not dream of going too far into the wild...

The ONLY reason to venture into Mexico, IMHO, was when Red Fox was not able to perform in the U.S.
