Just ask Sodom and Gomorrah or Rome.
Yep- Lot didn’t start out corrupted and morally bankruptcy, but he started the process by “pitching his tent towards soddom, thus toleration their depravity, then he moved closer, and eventually Into the city where he became so depraved that he was willing to give his two daughters to the perverts-
The two daughters were also so blinded morally that they ignored the facts around them and decided to become pregnant by their own father after getting him drunk to unconsciousness (another indication that they knew that what they were doing was immoral), knowing that he likely would have objected in horror to the request if sober.
Tolerance of sin has a nasty way of turning into depravity over time where people will do things that they never would have thouhg t of doing before they began to tolerate sin.
Thankful.y though God will forgive if folks ask for forgiveness. Lot was later cited as being a righteous man, and God accredited him as such- the consequences however were devastating as the children grew up and formed nations that were quite immoral -
