Cause Uncle Sugar pays for all that expensive hardware (choppers/dozers, etc) that the ‘Govenor’ can use for basically the cost of labor.
Again it’s all money driven! Not defense or Constitution driven!
Maybe it’s the space force’s promotion of transgenderism that is the issue.
The State Guard isn’t a fighting force, it is a helping force of nice volunteers for emergencies, that is why you can enlist at age 67 and serve to age 70 and if disabled they will look at that, you won’t be learning how to throw a hand grenade or shoot a rifle.
The Texas State guard also has a police unit that can carry guns.
Can Florida State Guard carry guns or other weapons?

Why would you think the Air National Guard people would be flocking to a state guard unit of volunteer emergency situations helpers?
