Would it even be technologically possible to build a canal between Gaza and the Gulf of Aqaba? Isn't there a mountain range in the way?

If they pull that off, maybe Mexico will build a canal between the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean to compete with the Panama Canal.
