What the hell are we doing in Niger anyway?
Another damn place we have no good reason to be meddling in their internal problems
All the Africans our military trains end up overthrowing their governments and become completely loose cannons.
I recall a Senate hearing where our general officers in charge of our forces in Africa had to admit such. Jaw dropping.

In short uranium and oil are why we are there and why the Ruzzians are there.
I believe we were operating the largest drone surveillance base in Africa to try to track terrorist groups.
Wouldn’t put it past this administration and State Department to start backing the terrorists to destabilize Niger in an attempt to unseat the govt and discredit the Russians as a protection force

Other than paying rent for two airbases, one cost over $200 million and operates drones, I don’t know what we do for them. Whatever it is, Russia has offered them a better deal.
From what I have read Africa, is reacting to the the State Department constantly pushing the homosexual agenda calling it immoral. Also they apparently buy into China/Russian PR in which they label the US as a warmonger and worse.
France was getting a lot of its Uranium there for low prices. The people thought they were getting shafted and turned against the West in general.
But supporting French in their foreign adventures is not our job.
