It’s fun going to a nice Mexican restaurant but might be more fun to invite several couples n friends over for carry in contributions . Have festive music. Margaritas and a movie or two . The next couple posts will give you some ideas

The (his)story of Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is a yearly celebration held on May 5 to celebrate Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza.

Celebrating the military victory in 1862 over the French forces of Napoleon III. When in 1861 Mexico declared a temporary moratorium on the repayment of foreign debts, English, Spanish, and French troops invaded the country.
