The people in Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk voted for Yanukovych, the President driven out of office by an illegal coup we fomented.
Ethnic Russians are the largest ethnic group in those regions and were under NO OBLIGATION to live under a Ukrainian government that come to power illegally that went on to persecute and murder the population there.
