--- "Do you know the real truth?"

Your reply as it is was expected. That question applies equally to us all. It's not a case of apples and oranges, but of what the future will bring. Time will tell, and in the moment, this nation's official national debt is rising a trillion every few months, so "real truth" is that "we're screwed," as said in a more colorful phrase.

And... Obama's $16 Trillion Debt: A National Security Threat From 2012 - plenty of quotes when the debt was about 1/3 of what it is today.

Today? $34,558,934,215,027.

So, you don't know the truth.

FACT is that, even with our very high debt, the U.S. is still the most powerful economy in the world. And Russia is still a very minor player in the world economically. Russia cannot afford to wage war for too many more years. And Russia doesn't have the economic partners to help them wage wars for endless years. The U.S. and Europe and many other western countries can carry on for decades, even with high debts. Russia doesn't have the economy of its own to win the war, and it can't count on any other economic power to help it win.

Putin is hardheaded and cannot admit that he got into an unwinnable war, and people like you are just as hardheaded and cannot recognize how stupid your side sounds on the issue.
