You’ve got that right. At the time Palin was credited with bringing in 5 million votes that McCain would not have otherwise had. Mine was one of them.
In addition, McCain did not pick Palin his staff did. His choice was Joe Lieberman but he was talked out of it. Apparently he was very POed about it but acquiesced.
