Perry Como was a barber, and he was fully prepared to go back to being a barber if his singing career didn’t work out.

Current “artists” should follow his example. Learn a trade. Get a job. Practice their art. If they are any good, people will find out and support them. That goes for individual artists as well as local theaters. If they aren’t that good, then they will have at least tried to be an artist and failed without sponging off taxpayers.

By the way: are we so far in the hole in debt that our members of Congress don’t even give a second thought about tossing out a billion dollars? Maybe when you’re $30+ trillion in the hole, what another billion?
