[Why Is Milan Poised to Ban Ice Cream and Pizza After Midnight?]
What if I’m making a long journey from Milan to Minsk and I need pizza and ice cream?

Well, if you really want ice cream, you may be out of luck. There's plenty of gelato which is very similar to ice cream, but is not ice cream.
And for pizza, if you want the famous pizza napoletana, a real official one, then you need a DOC pizzeria as defined by the Denominazione di Origine Controllata. The dough contains nothing but flour, yeast, salt and water. The cheese may not be fior di latte (cow's milk mozzarella) but must be mozzarella di bufala (buffalo milk mozzarella). They know how to regulate everything in Europe, even pizza. That said, there is just lots of good pizza, so I would say get the pizza in Italy. I doubt any American chain pizza maker could survive there.
