I have no idea what they teaching in University these days. I took biology as a freshman in high school and HATED it. Mostly because of the way it was taught, as rote learning, devoid of context or insight, or enthusiasm. It did not help that my high school bio teacher was a jerk.
I used to read SciAm from cover to cover, at the library, when I was 15 - 25. I can’t even open it up without feeling ill these days. And my intellectual enthusiasm is barely slacked since I was 15. It’s me, it’s them. I hate them, they are ruining the world.
America today resembles Russia in the days of Lysenkoism. Global warming hysteria is Lysenkoism, only much more destructive. Transsexuality is rancid and 200 proof nonsense. What kind of world are we leaving our grandchildren?
