MOSUL, Iraq, April 21 (Reuters) - At least five rockets were launched from Iraq's town of Zummar towards a U.S. military base in northeastern Syria on Sunday, two Iraqi security sources told Reuters. The attack against U.S. forces is the first since early February when Iranian-backed groups in Iraq stopped their attacks against U.S. troops.

We need to close those bases and let our ISIS allies do their job of undermining the Syrian government by themselves. After all, that’s why we pay them.

Yes, we need more Arab appeasement.

It’s rocket surgery!

Bring those troops home now. They are just sitting ducks. Why are we using US troops to act as a tripwire for Israel? Russia isn’t going to let Syria fall so it’s pointless to keep them there anyway.

Which will happen first:

1)Russia’s 2023 spring offensive

2)Erdogan and the rest of the ME jumps in as promised 7 months agp

3)Russia annexes Ukraine in 4-6 weeks as was forecasted.

4)Iran unleashes fury based on the real attack called a test run?

I dunno? Nothing is more dangerous than a progressive liberal Marxist that has run out of sophomoric fresh ideas that tested so well in polling groups.

1 is most likely to happen first (and might be the ONLY one that comes to pass).

2 - might never happen.

3 - Won’t happen, even if Ukraine falters.

4 - Iran didn’t really hold back...

The US and Syria have been trying to depose Assad for several years now with the help of ISIS. They want to put gas pipelines from Israel thru Syria to bring that gas up to Europe to replace the gas they were getting from Russia. But Russia isn’t going to let them get rid of Assad because Russia has a naval base there and Syria is a Russian ally.

I did not know Syria let us have a base, there.

That strikes me as very strange, even stupid.

They’ve asked us to leave. Trump told the Pentagon to close them, they refused. Most of our 900 or so personnel there are managing our ISIS partners in our ongoing efforts to destabilize the Syrian government. This has been one of our more successful efforts in getting locals killed. At last count we are the prime reason 600,000 have died. Gotta love that CIA.

We’ve been running the Syrian civil war. Chalk up 600,000 more dead locals to the CIA total.

We are viewing ISIS as our friend to destabilize Syria?

We should be wiping out ISIS and not entering someone else’s country without permission.
