“Reports I read said that Iraina S-200 anti-aircraft missile batteries were struck, but the newer S-300 batteries next door were untouched.”

As a side note,Russia’s newest available is the S-500, initially supposed to be in production by 2014.

The “newer” S-300’s are probably only slightly less obsolete as the S-200’s.

It was the S-400s that Russia sold to Turkey, but I don't think Iran has any S-400 missile batteries, so S-300 is as good as it gets there.
