So, can we claim furniture damage on our tax returns now, due to this new law, when the new kitty destroys a couch?

My mom had several cats with front claws removed over the years, no problems at all. They lived long, happy and pampered cat lives, 12 to 16 years for all of them. Just as an FYI, the cats flew up the sides of trees onto limbs because cats mainly use their rear feet in climbing.

Wife and I adopted a beautiful adult female tuxedo cat abandoned by her owners when they got a new little kitten (classless and scummy individuals). Her front claws had been removed, she was healthy and happy, passed away years later from kidney problems.

I wish people got this upset about preteens having their bodies mutilated over a non-existent psychiatric condition.

what an odd issue for him to be concerned about.
We have plenty of stuff in Virginia that needs to be fixed up ASAP that concerns humans.

If you own a cat and live in VA and you and your cat need to go “camping” in another state for a few days, give me a call and I’ll help you no questions asked.

My cats are all perfectly happy without their claws. As were my previous cats that died happily of old age.

They only need the front ones removed anyway. Let the market decide if vets want to offer the service, or not.

In my experience, big stores like PetSmart won’t do it, but small offices will. I side with small business.

In general I think it is not only cruel, but is generally a bad idea to declaw cats, but prohibited by law? no.

Sheesh. I mean, I’d never declaw any cat I had (watching one of my two peacefully sleeping on the cat tree next to me as I type this) but do we really need to make it illegal?

Declawing is barbaric.

Give kitty a scratching post and trim his nails if they get long.
