“Even in Europe you cannot show hate like that in a public place, so this was not normal for us,” Lattanzio explained.
Then, stay in Europe, Mr Lattanzio.
No one is forcing you to come to Texas.

Lattanzio and his brother Luis decided to leave the restaurant after 10 minutes and did not order anything. And there's your solution. Don't like it? Leave without ordering anything.

THAT is how Freedom works. You DON’T HAVE to be offended and eat there. The guy from Germany did correct, took his money and went across the street. He was FREE to do this. But if the owner wanted to put something that some of his patrons thought was humourous satire..so be it. That’s LIFE. Jesus promised us that in life.. OFFENSES WOULD COME.

And, Mr. Ferrari is very grateful for all of the free publicity.

No one can force him to eat at a particular place, either. the owner has “freedom of speech” and potential customers have “freedom of association”.
The owner can put up whatever he wants but he has no right to make others pay him to be in his restaurant.

Well, you can show hate like that in Europe...but they’ll put you in prison. I’m guessing Mr Lattanzio is OK with that. How very Nazi of him.

Lattanzio and his brother Luis decided to leave the restaurant after 10 minutes and did not order anything.
They took that long to read ALL of the offensive signs.

The word “welcoming” seems to have a covert meaning.

The first amendment is not to protect speech you agree with, but speech you may not agree with.
In other words the first amendment is protecting us against censorship. This is why any “hate speech” law is unconstitutional. Hate speech laws are just a way to get around the first amendment.
Those in power can define anything as hate speech.
