I understand, but we cannot condemn people for the illicit and immoral behavior of a government weaponized and coordinated against the citizenry, as J6 clearly shows it was and is.
If we decide to self-censor and self-curtail our First Amendment rights (and other rights) based on the illegal and immoral actions of a government fully weaponized against its citizenry, where will that stop?
Will it stop when we all sit in our homes and simply wait for them to hear something we say amongst ourselves in our living room over some monitoring device that to those malignant forces in government, will justify taking action against us?
If anything, those people rotting in prison, against all values and laws we may hold dear (excepting people who DID commit mayhem) should be held up as Patriots, because their condition clearly illustrates the stakes we ALL face.
If there are any conservatives who were holding back or reserving judgement on exactly what danger we face, these unconstitutional mass arrests should have removed every single speck of doubt.
For that, we owe them our support and gratitude, not the characterization they have had applied by many on this supposedly conservative forum as “chumps” and “idiots”.
And I say all this from the perspective of someone who has on dozens of occasions, driven hundreds of miles to face off, as a Conservative, against Leftists in Washington DC. (With thanks to the DC Chapter of Free Republic who accepted me as one of their own)
