My father’s mother was sold into slavery in Sweden in about 1896. She was probably six at the time. Her mother died and her father took her to a remote farm outside Philipstad. He received a payment in cash and went away. She lived in the farmer’s barn and took care of the animals. Most likely she was sexually assaulted. At some point she met a man, married and they immigrated to the United States.

But I am related to a genuine slave. I really think I should be compensated because...gibsmedat?

Yep- there are claims that white slavery nearly rivaled that of black slavery- but only black slavery matters to liberals- despite the fact that many people lost their lives in the war that led to the freeing of slaves- that should be plenty of compensation, not that compensation should even be considered- life sucks, and many immigrants suffered terribly, yet they carry on knowing that life isn’t fair and just really really sucks for some folks-
